Unfreeze a porte aperte - Unfreeze backstage

"...per esercitare la curiosità" diceva Margherita,"trattare con rispetto le passioni, al di fuori delle formule da edicola '4€ e un hobby in omaggio'" Maria e Veronica "che poi si può usare di tutto: i tappi dei succhi di frutta, le retine delle arance, quel che resta delle matite colorate...". Rosa, tirando le somme, "Mettersi in gioco, sperimentare fin da subito e su progetti concreti: il bello di imparare è fare" e Simona "Documentiamo le attività, lo stile! Ogni azione è comunicazione".

Questo ed altro avreste potuto sentire sabato affacciandovi nella corte della casa-laboratorio di Unfreeze. E sullo sfondo il chiacchiericcio delle tortore, gorgoglii di bambini, qualche falciatrice lontana e soprattutto una quiete profonda, come è difficile trovare altrove. E' stato un brainstorming intenso, rilassato e produttivo. Moltissime idee per il futuro e fin da subito un calendario di incontri dedicati alla manualità e al saper osservare.

Si parte il 29 maggio con un laboratorio di gioielli e decori creativi. Il 13 e il 26 giugno sono le date dedicate alle passeggiate fotografiche (le foto del post sono di Margherita, tutor del laboratorio). Some snippets from the last brainstorming session of Unfreeze. The team met on Saturday, to share topics, suggestions and ideas for future laboratories and events. In the home-lab the atmosphere was relaxed and productive: on the lawn ideas grow smoothly and are "green"! Proposals and projects mixed with cookies, stories and smiles have produced an engaging programme. Il mare d'inverno - Eco-design from the beach

Hai mai giocato alla forma delle nuvole? Teste, cavalli, draghi,... E il gioco è ancora più divertente se fatto con i rami, i sassi e le assi che il mare deposita sulla costa tirrenica alla fine dell'inverno. Come le chiocciole dopo la tempesta, gli amanti dell'eco-creatività aspettano che le onde si acquietino per andare a caccia del tronco più bello. E, immancabile, la mareggiata regala loro materiali, idee e suggestioni. E' una passione virale, che infetta anche i più insospettabili. Sulla spiaggia si incontra di tutto: i "tronchisti professionisti", che riempiono furgoni e giardinette con i rami con cui arrederanno i locali di grido dell'estate, gli eco-designer amatoriali, che raccolgono nodi, sassi e conchiglie per decorare e creare, gli esteti, che dicono "guardo e basta" ma poi se ne vanno nascondendo bracciate di legni di tutte le forme!

Anche il team di Unfreeze è contagiato e intende trasmettere la sua passione a tutti quelli che vorranno partecipare ai laboratori di eco-design in due episodi! Episodio 1: ci incontriamo e perlustriamo la spiaggia in cerca dei "pezzi migliori". Un'occasione per stare all'aria aperta, fare movimento in compagnia, esercitare fantasia e curiosità. Episodio 2: torniamo nella casa-laboratorio e trasformiamo ciò che abbiamo raccolto in oggetti, gioielli, decori. C'è chi ne ha fatto un sostegno per tende, chi un ciondolo, chi un appendiabiti, ma sono ancora mille i possibili usi di quello che ci regala il mare. E' un'attività creativa, salutare, eco-sostenibile: è Natur'art!
I laboratori si svolgono nel week end e prevedono uno spostamento casa-spiaggia di circa 30 min in auto. Unfreeze è in contatto con una rete di piccoli hotel e bed& breakfast in cui soggiornare.

During the winter, sea storms bring driftwood and stones with astonishing shapes to the Tuscan beaches. These are the ideal materials to create decorations, accessories, jewellery and other design objects. Unfreeze invites you to Natur'art, eco-design laboratories in two "episodes"! Episode 1: combing the beach , looking for the best "pieces". A perfect opportunity to be outside, get some exercise with friends and share fantasies and ideas. Episode 2: return to the lab-house and work on a design project, transforming what we collected from nature. Labs take place at weekends and are carried out in Italian (an English speaker is present for those in need). What better opportunity to learn/improve your Italian! "Italian Sofa": the most comfortable way to learn Italian!

WHAT "ITALIAN SOFA" IS
A new way of learning Italian, based on experiencing language and its uses directly in the context. We will meet in a comfortable, cosy living room and we practice Italian through conversation, reading magazines or newspapers, sharing memories and commenting photos...and much more! The sofa is just the beginning. We are going to cook, go for a walk, look after pets, visit exhibitions, go shopping together. Each of these experiences will offer you the opportunity to learn, remember and test your linguistic skills. The aim? To live Italian, to learn Italian. See more about programme & methodology.
A window on Italian culture. "Italian Sofa" offers you the opportunity to get to know the real Italian life: habits, beliefs and points of views. Meetings are held in the living room of a real Tuscan house, tutors are Italian native speakers and so are the people you will meet during the excursions. Stop being a tourist! An informal place to play, meet & learn. "Italian Sofa" is only one of the activities organised by Unfreeze. We propose creative opportunities and events ...to unfreeze our minds and live happier! Mamma a modo mio: ago, filo e libertà! - Happy sewing for kids

Maternità fa rima con creatività. Ogni giorno una sorpresa, espedienti da trovare, sorrisi, nervosismi, soddisfazioni, preoccupazioni, speranze. Il più bel lavoro del mondo, 24 ore su 24. Prendersi una pausa ogni tanto è giusto e salutare. Serve fermarsi per assaporare la felicità, spostare l'attenzione per rinfrancarsi, esprimersi per mettere a frutto le energie che emergono inattese quando si diventa genitori. Unfreeze propone laboratori di cucito, chiacchiere e biscotti per realizzare insieme vestiti per bambini. Un'occasione fantasiosa e colorata per rilassarti e creare, senza smettere di pensare alla tua prole... tanto non ci riusciresti comunque, parola di mamma ;-)

A partire da un cartamodello già fatto realizzeremo semplici capi bimbo/a e li personalizzeremo con accessori, ricami, applicazioni. Troverai qui la macchina da cucire, le forbici, i fili ed un team preparato, paziente e disponibile. Se vuoi, puoi portare la tua stoffa, altrimenti apriremo il nostro baule e chissà cosa ne verrà fuori! Impareremo insieme, in allegria, in un salotto comodo ed elegante oppure fuori in giardino nelle belle giornate di sole. Italian conversation & activities... in a Tuscan home

Are you planning your holiday in Tuscany and want to learn something more than “Ciao, bello”? Are you going to live in Italy for a while and need to improve your Italian? Are you spending a couple of months in our countryside and want to get to know this land and its culture better? Are you bored by learning Italian at school and attending never-ending grammar lessons?

Unfreeze is on your side! We organize meetings, labs and events which will help you start or improve your Italian. In the hills near Lucca, we will spend some hours together, have a cup of tea, go for a walk, go shopping, and cook together ... everything in Italian!

Italian, like every other language, is a living thing. It must be experienced and hopefully loved to be learned. So, what could be better than a cosy and informal setting? We offer the opportunity for you to learn Italian in a relaxed atmosphere, learning everyday Italian conversation and idioms in a home environment. This program was set up by a PhD professional trained in linguistics and teaching Italian as a second language. This program gets results.

Because the program is set up on an informal basis it is only at the end of a session that we stop for a review of the grammar. So what about the grammar, then? Grammar rules are important, as they help us to establish and categorize our learning efforts. However, they come afterwards or, at least, at the same time as experiencing language. By going through what we've done together, we will be focusing on a few, essential features you need to enhance your linguistic competence: new words and expressions, grammar strucutres and pronunciation.

This is really a special occasion, as, at the same time you'll be learning a skill such as sewing, painting or cooking delicious Tuscan dishes.
