In trasferta sulle rive dell'arno pisano, ecco l'aperi-meeting dello staff di Unfreeze. Tantissime le proposte e gli spunti per la prossima stagione di laboratori: in autunno oltre alla moda, gli accessori e lo stile, la casa-laboratorio sulle colline di Lucca proporrà fotografia, poesia, scrittura creativa ed eventi! Insomma stiamo lavorando per voi... naturalmente alla maniera di Unfreeze: idee, relax e libertà!

Along the banks of the river Arno in Pisa, the Unfreeze team heald its aperi-meeting . So many suggestions and ideas for the next season of laboratories and courses. And beginning from the autumn besides fashion, accessories and style, the home-lab in the hills of Lucca is offering photography, poetry, creative writing and events! To sum up, we’re working for you ... obviously in the Unfreeze way: ideas, relaxation and freedom to be creative!

Slow Jewellery: foto racconto - photo story

Una tira l'altra! Le perline sono come le ciliegie, i desideri, i sogni e i progetti: nascono le une dalle altre , cambiano, si moltiplicano, diventano sempre più belle e più grandi. Questo è il succo del pomeriggio dedicato allo Slow Jewellery nella casa-laboratorio di Unfreeze. E la cosa più importante ce l'ha svelata Alida, splendida cinquantenne che gestisce la vicina Locanda San Ginese. "Io non ho manualità" ha esordito, e poi ci ha ripensato "ma questo è un pregiudizio!". E alla fine ci aveva preso gusto anche lei, perché l'importante è rilassarsi, chiacchierare, lasciar fluire le idee. Il resto vien da sé, perché Unfreeze è innanzitutto libertà! Ti aspettiamo ai prossimi laboratori. Due passeggiate fotografiche, il 13 e il 27 giugno, e, per riaprire insieme la scatola dei fili, tre appuntamenti con il cucito: creiamo insieme vestiti per bambini e borse il 19 e il 26 giugno. A chi poi vuole un intero week end di manualità, relax e turismo, Unfreeze offre il suo aiuto. Il nostro Team è in contatto con una rete di piccoli hotel e B&B della zona di Lucca e saremo felici di aiutarti a trovare una sistemazione comoda e accogliente.

You can't stop playing with them! Pearls are like desires, dreams and projects: one after another appears, they change, they multiply and get bigger and better! This is just a few words to sum up our afternoon dedicated to Slow Jewellery, the course of creative jewellery which took place in the Unfreeze home-lab in the hills of Lucca last Saturday. And was Alida, owner and manager of the charming Locanda San Ginese, who revelead what's most important. "I can't do it, I'm hopeless" she began, but then she changed her mind "Ok, this is just a prejudice!", and at the end she was having real fun. All you have to do is relax, chat and let your ideas flow smoothly, because with Unfreeze you are free to create. Would you like to have a look? Here's a photo story of the lab! Take part in the next events! In June there will be two photography walks on 13th and 27th in the hills of Lucca. And to rediscover the joy of sewing, two appointments are scheduled for 19th and 26th June when we will be creating children's clothes and bags together. All the activities will be in Italian, but an English speaking tutor will be present to help those in need. This is the perfect opportunity to learn or improve your Italian! Unfreeze is also linked to a network of small B&Bs around Lucca. If you want to mix activities & tourism, please contact us. We will be pleased to help organise your accommodation.

Gioie e colori - Creative jewellery

"Accessoriati!" urla il logo di una delle catene di bigiotteria più diffuse nel paese e sono tante ormai le realtà commerciali più o meno grandi che propongono gioielli pronto uso. Entrare in questi negozi è un'esperienza piacevole: centinaia di forme e colori sapientemente distribuiti lungo le spettro cromatico, abbinamenti, luci e musica. Ma quando si sceglie una collana o un bracciale, nel breve viaggio tra lo scaffale e lo specchio, qualcosa cambia, qualcosa manca. A pensarci bene quello che ci vendono è l'emozione del colore, la potenzialità della combinazione, un solletico sottile alla nostra creatività. "Chiediti cosa ti piace, esprimiti" insinuano, ma non aspettano la risposta, che è già bella e pronta sull'espositore: collana "Mavy", codice articolo NL1M32. Vuoi cambiare velocità? Unfreeze organizza nel suo salotto creativo laboratori di slow jewellery: appuntamenti con il relax e lo stile per imparare a creare piccoli gioielli. Con noi potrai selezionare le forme e le sfumature che più ti rappresentano, assemblare componenti e supporti, sperimentare le tecniche base di montaggio. Ci incontreremo nella casa-laboratorio di Unfreeze tra i boschi, sulle colline di Lucca. Qui troverai perle, fili ed altri materiali per realizzare i tuoi acessori. Scoprirai anche insieme al nostro team quante possibilità creative offrono i piccoli oggetti quotidiani: foulard, bottoni, tappi e perfino matite colorate. Frammenti del vissuto quotidiano che diventano creazione di moda, racconti di vita.

And we have to admit that the call is really appealing and the shopping experience pleasant: lots of colours, shapes, oufits, lights and music! But when you pick one single product off the shelf, something is missing, something is weird. They sell us the emotion of colour and the idea that mixing and matching is possible, and that is all. Unfreeze a porte aperte - Unfreeze backstage

"...per esercitare la curiosità" diceva Margherita,"trattare con rispetto le passioni, al di fuori delle formule da edicola '4€ e un hobby in omaggio'" Maria e Veronica "che poi si può usare di tutto: i tappi dei succhi di frutta, le retine delle arance, quel che resta delle matite colorate...". Rosa, tirando le somme, "Mettersi in gioco, sperimentare fin da subito e su progetti concreti: il bello di imparare è fare" e Simona "Documentiamo le attività, lo stile! Ogni azione è comunicazione".

Questo ed altro avreste potuto sentire sabato affacciandovi nella corte della casa-laboratorio di Unfreeze. E sullo sfondo il chiacchiericcio delle tortore, gorgoglii di bambini, qualche falciatrice lontana e soprattutto una quiete profonda, come è difficile trovare altrove. E' stato un brainstorming intenso, rilassato e produttivo. Moltissime idee per il futuro e fin da subito un calendario di incontri dedicati alla manualità e al saper osservare.

Si parte il 29 maggio con un laboratorio di gioielli e decori creativi. Il 13 e il 26 giugno sono le date dedicate alle passeggiate fotografiche (le foto del post sono di Margherita, tutor del laboratorio). Il 19 e il 26 giugno , cucito: vestiti e borse per mamme e bambini. Troverai i dettagli sui programmi e le indicazioni logistiche nei prossimi post. Gli incontri sono pensati per 8-12 partecipanti. Some snippets from the last brainstorming session of Unfreeze. The team met on Saturday, to share topics, suggestions and ideas for future laboratories and events. In the home-lab the atmosphere was relaxed and productive: on the lawn ideas grow smoothly and are "green"! Proposals and projects mixed with cookies, stories and smiles have produced an engaging programme.
